The Jean-Henri Sadot Project includes this website and a musical CD in French that will soon be released featuring songs written from the French-American poet's works. A celebration of the 60th Anniversary of D-Day is planned on June 6th in Normandy, featuring these works being performed by his son, Vic Sadot. After Vic's performance there last year, he was promptly invited back this year to perform songs he wrote from his father's poems, as well as his own material. In honor of the event, Vic has written the music to the poem, "In Normandy When Breezes Blow." Normandy and D-Day were a critical step in the brotherhood of the French and American people. Many brave soldiers fought and died to preserve the freedom we now possess. In honor of their sacrifice, this celebration will be a further reminder of the commitment between our two cultures. We are currently seeking the underwriting of this project by a progressive sponsor. Sponsorship in this event will include completion of the French musical CD, expenses for the band and family to and from this event, and promotion of the performance and CD. The benefits to the sponsor will be ongoing promotion on this website, prominent exposure on the CD release, and the accompanying public image associated with underwriting an event that recognizes the price our ancestors have paid for our freedoms. We have promotional material, cost breakdowns, and further benefits available for interested parties. Please contact Vic Sadot for further information: vasyvic@aol.com or call 302.836.1617 in the United States. Thank you for your most courteous consideration of our project and this performance. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.
